This Air Maritanie Airline Ticket Jacket is slightly out of the ordinary! From the African country of Mauretanie on the Western coast of the continent, this glossy white ticket jacket displays a miniature route map on the inside flap as well as flight and reconfirmation information in French. On the back flap of this interesting piece of airline memorabilia is an advertisement for Air Mauritanie from the National Mauritanie Office of Tourism that displays a DC-4 or DC-6 airliner in flight.
Please note that, although not dated, this is a relatively contemporary item, and not from the 1940's or 50's when the DC-4 or DC-6 would have been a primary means of transportation!
