The Gato Submarine was the class of submarine being produced by shipyards for the United States Navy when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor in 1941, which made it the mainstay at the beginning of World War II. We proudly present a new product line of important historical boats and ships made of kiln dried philippine Mahogany wood. This exquisite model of this submarine is in 1:150 scale. This spectacular model has a length of 19 1/2" and is 1 3/4" wide.
This beautiful replica model is hand sculptured by master craftsmen who use premium treated Philippine mahogany wood. Each model passes through several stages of sanding and priming before talented artists apply paint and detail. Extreme care is made to apply historically accurate markings and emblems with amazing attention to fine details.
